On June 3, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a workshop organized by APIS with the cooperation of the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) will be held on the topic: "Mutual recognition instruments in the criminal matter according to the European and national regulations". The event will be held in a hybrid form - present in hall 201 of the NIJ, Sofia, 14 Ekzarh Yosif St., and online on the Zoom platform. The forum is part of the activities carried out by APIS within the framework of the FACILEX international project, which is funded by the European Union's Justice Programme under Grant Agreement no. 101089634.
The event will begin with a presentation of the freely accessible online platform developed under the FACILEX project. Next is a lecture part with the participation of Dr. Miroslava Manolova, Associate Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", and Associate Professor Dr. Ekaterina Salkova, head of the "Criminal Sciences" Section of the State and Law Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. They will address current issues related to the issuance and execution of the European Arrest Warrant and the European Investigation Order, as well as the mutual recognition of freezing and confiscation orders under Regulation 2018/1805.
